Walvax and Abogen Granted Indonesian Emergency Use Authorization for the SARS-CoV-2 mRNA Vaccine (AWcorna)
Highlights: In 2022, the Indonesian authorities granted emergency use authorization to the AWcorna vaccine, which is a Chinese-developed mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine, which was co-developed by Walvax Biotechnology Co, Suzhou Abogen Biosciences Co, and the Chinese military, has been approved for use in individuals aged 18 years and above. The vaccine has obtained halal certification and can be used either as a primary or booster dose.
